38 years on this is still a groundbreaker , glad i went and saw him this year because he seems pretty frail now (though I really think some of it is an act)

Oh my... Such memories. I saw Alexander O'Neal in concert in the very late 80s, and Candy Dulfer was the saxophonist in his band. Still my favourite Tom Waits album despite it's contrived nature because it pretty much is what his shows were like at that point. he's done lots of great work this one just resonates with me
