I saw Karl Blau a couple of nights ago in a little deli here. He is friends with the owners. My son played in the opening band with the owner of the deli. Pretty fun and Karl was really good.

I've recently been getting into a bit of Krautrock.

The first 2 Kraftwerk albums are great (Red cone and green cone), and I'd love to find a copy of each, but they've been out of production for a fair while....

Main one i've had spinning is Neu'75
A great album, and I love how bipolar it is, with the almost ambient music on side A, and the more proto-punk side B

I had their first album on 8-track, don't remember it having a name, though.

Going to see the Illegal Eagles tomorrow evening which should be fun (having seen the real ones four times since 1996).

Then the real Eagles again at London’s Wembley Stadium next June, without the late Glenn Frey, sadly.

I dont think any of their albums actually had a name, other than the 2nd one which had the big pink "2" on the cover.

The rest were just "NEU!" in Red on white for the 1st, white on black for the 3rd (Neu'75 from the release year) and the last one was White on Pink I think? not sure, it was a strange very synth heavy one musically. (I think it was put together by Michael Rother after Klaus died, using leftover recordings that never made it to an album)

Your post jogged my memory, I think it was called "Autobahn" or, at least that's how we referred to it. May not have been their first, not sure.

I just hope they don't get sued, DW.

The idea of Led Zeppelin getting angry over music intellectual property would be surreal.
Since they paid multiple times when sued for Plagiarism! The singer has no range and annoys me with his desire to imitate R Plant.

Listening to some soft jazz to block out the office buzz. Right now Autumn Leaves with Cannonball Adderley.

Anyone up for some opera? This version of the duet 'Au Fond Du Temple Saint' from Bizet's Les Pecheurs de perles is well worth six and a half minutes - even if my favourite recording still is with Jussi Björling and Robert Merrill.
