Playing the Game "Rebel Galaxy" that allows you to use your own music in different situations game-wise, like in a space station, or in combat, so it has been Mastadon, for most situations with My combat music being Either Satanic Surfers or Montrose, their first album. Pretty cool to be fighting space pirates to some of your favorite tunes. I remember a friend using his own MP3s while playing "Redneck rampage" back in the day! Great bonus in a fun game.

Great satire, great old game, I used to similarly enjoy 'Duke Nukem', SG!

Fifty years.

We have finally arrived.

I can remember when Zeppelin came on the scene. There were rumblings about the Beatles breaking up. Grand Funk Railroad, Ten Years After, Humble Pie were all finding their way. Eric Clapton was playing with everyone and all by himself. Same for Neil Young.

Jimi Hendrix was setting the rock and blues music scene on fore.

I used to sit for hours, doing homework after school, building car, airplane and ship models afterward and on weekends, with this music playing on the turntable. I would think to myself, "I have a whole lifetime of great music from all these awesome bands and musicians to look forward to."

Now, here we are, right where I thought we would be.

There have indeed been many great albums and songs, memorable performances at venues all over the world. Some of the best have been taken from us, many way too soon. Still more continue to surprise us again and again.

Fifty years.
One of my first LP purchases was Led Zeppelin II. I had to wait until my parents left the house (to go shopping or something), so I could finally play it on on Dad's big Motorola console. OMG, I thought I'd died and gone to Heaven. That was the one that rocked my world back in the day.

Led Zeppelin Heartbreaker / Living Loving Maid (She's Just a Woman) - YouTube

I was in junior high when their first album was released. I looked at the faces on the back cover and thought they looked too girlish. Could not argue with the sound, however.

Another great soundtrack:

You must have been real alarmed by Bowie and Bolan, then, NG.

This'll help things, Brian May, the guy with a PhD in Astrophysics, doing that other thing he does, from 'Sheer Heart Attack':
