New recording from Everyone Orchestra, more of a collective than a band. Sounds great!
I saw them here a few years ago with a few of the people on this recording in the group.

This lineup includes:
Conductor Matt Butler invited past collaborators—musical friends like drummer Jon Fishman (Phish), keyboardist/pianist Marco Benevento, Al Schnier (moe.), Jen Hartswick (Trey Anastasio Band), guitarist Steve Kimock, saxophonist Jeff Coffin (Dave Matthews Band), vocalist/percussionist Jans Ingber (The Motet), mandolinist Jamie Masefield (Jazz Mandolin Project) and bassist Reed Mathis (Tea Leaf Green)

Another Jerry Lordan tune

Wonderful Land, originally by The Shadows, 1962

#1 on UK Singles Chart for 8 consecutive weeks, March - May 1962

Here performed by The Rapiers, who portrayed The Shadows in Cliff - The Musical on London's West End.

The Shadows were originally Cliff Richard's backing band and went on to a long successful recording career on their own.

Excellent. Chris They sound very authentic indeed.

I saw The Shadows on a sold-out tour at Newcastle City Hall in the early 1980s, having listened to my Dad's records of them as a kid. They were fantastic, and sounded just the same...

It's almost scary how they recreate The Shadows sound; practically note for note.
Rapiers founder and lead guitarist Colin Pryce-Jones is every bit the equal of Hank Marvin.
Not coincidentally Colin and Hank even wear the same Buddy Holly-style glasses.

However The Rapiers are not one of the many Shadows "tribute" bands.
They play all sorts of British Beat music from that time just before The Beatles.

If you can make it to one of their shows I'm sure you won't regret it!

I'll look out for them

Funnily enough, my first ever "gig" as a guitarist was at our high school Christmas concert (I was, if I remember correctly, around 14 years old), and we performed "Apache" - complete with the "Shadows Walk"
