Johnny B. Gayden was Albert Collins's bass player for decades, and his lines were anything but boring.
I bought that very album when it was released!
In fact, that's what turned me on to Johnny Copeland, and later led to me buying a Peavey T-60 guitar. Nice guitar and very versatile, but heavy. At the time, I was in a band playing the local clubs, and I found the T-60 to be a bit of a lump on stage, so I mostly played it at home.
I still play a little today, but only acoustic - and mostly fingerstyle with a little flat-picking. My hands aren't what they used to be... but I really ought to play more
