Every once in a while , a song comes on the radio that makes me stop everything I'm doing and just listen, and once it is done I immediately download the album it came from.

Postmodern Jukebox offers hours of creative alternate takes on recent pop hits. This is my favorite version of "All About That Bass" . Kate Davis can really play, and has a great voice.

It helps that most of them have very attractive singers too!

Here's one that came up from the recommendations after the Kate Davis version you linked:

For a bit of inspiration and reminder of good times: young Montrealer Nikki Yanofsky sings "I Believe" for the 2010 Winter Olympics held in Vancouver.

(This version shows lots of Canadian red-and-white, but the message is universal, I think).

The Elvis hit Falling in love was covered by many singers.
The one I like best is the live recording in Las Vegas by Andrea Bocelli

We recently got a new vehicle and as part of the deal we get Sirius for a free test period. We're not sure if we will get it , but I have to admit I am finding two Jazz stations broadcast some lovely music. The two stations are Watercolours and Classic Jazz. I find I usually go back and forth between these two stations while driving.

It's the kind of jazz I like...Earl Klugh, Herbie Hancock, etc. type stuff.

I love Sirius, my presets are full. I listen to the Real Jazz channel, and on certain mornings Wynton Marsalis hosts a really cool show, as does Christain MacBride, very informatiave and enjoyable.
Tonight however, it's club music
Boogie Down, it's Friday night, live a little!

I saw Post Modern Jukebox live in concert, though most of the songs that were presented were rather up to date (therefore I wasn't familiar with the original..} the evening went well.

His "Live at the Fillmore" album shows just how great a vocalist he is, and what great musicians his bandmates are.

A little more upbeat than, some Danny Gatton on the Telecaster

Happy Birthday to Jerry Jemmott, the man has the groove in his heart and it comes out in everything he plays

That's a concert I would like to go to although a small, intimate venue would work better for me with them.
