1. US talk show host Jimmy Fallon was rung up by Prince's management, who wanted him to drive one night to a ping pong venue. He'd never met Prince before, and lost the game on a match point where the ball clipped his edge of the table. He recovered the ball, turned around, and found his opponent had disappeared.
2. At the height of her cocaine and alcohol period, Stevie Nicks heard 'Little Red Corvette' on the radio and contacted Prince about playing synthesizers on the song she was making, 'Stand Back'. He agreed for fifty percent of the cash it made. He turned up at the studio one evening with no gear of his own, laid down the tracks and went into the night again after just twenty minutes.
