The Stranglers - Rattus Norvegicus. I remember seeing them at Wigan Casino in 1977 an absolutely fantastic gig. Wigan Casino saw some great punk bands play there which came on before the Northern Soul events. Some times it got messy!

Listening to a lot of Maynard Ferguson lately. My nephew and my son are trumpet players, and I was a long time ago. Got my nephew the sheet music for Chameleon for Christmas, with the full score for two trumpets, a horn, trombone, tuba, and percussion. My dad plays tuba, my other nephew trombone. So we may try to make a go of it... but I know my chops will last about 10 minutes and even in my prime 25 years ago I was at least an octave short of Maynard's range. It might be a little ugly.

Great band, and still going, what's left of it. My brother bought that record and we wore it out, and the follow on albums although they were quite dark.
