I do, met him through a friend who was doing graphic design for his Guitar Sponsor (Epiphone,) he played for fun with some other friends in the small back room of a pub, I think about 10 of us were invited. afterward, I have met up when he came through town with the new york dolls and with Glen Matlock (I have known Glen since 76 when I lived in London, usually go for drinks or dinner with him when he comes to town) . Wish I had met him back in the bowie days, I saw the tours he did but young kids like me weren't invited backstage in the 70s (unless they were cute and female.....) -- so more acquaintance than a friend...which in general is the way it is with touring people you get to know.
