For some reason this song came to mind. Robert Plant had a real challenge finding himself suddenly in a solo career. I think his solo work has stood well enough on its own, even if it is a big change from his Led Zeppelin style.

If you’ve seen any of his live performances recently it’s clear he still has a great passion for making music and is open to trying new avenues.

I recall having a Harry Partch album back in the late 60s. All I can remember was the dissonant tonality made it difficult for a teenager to listen to...

The World of Harry Partch? That's the album that introduced me to his music. Theres something about many of his compositions that seems almost traditional, though, in their development of a theme or mood. Like travelling to a different but comforting world.

I've been impressed wit the work he did with Allison Krauss, and the fact that he covered a song by Los Lobos, my favorite band, shows he is open to a lot of styles, but he made his cover version in his own style.
