Odd characters when typing on line... help?

When I try to enter an apostrophe or quotation mark ( ' or " ) character when typing on line I get this character "Þ'Þ" ...doesn't happen when typing in word etc..

Tried a new keyboard, still the same problem, it's becoming very annoying to have to go back and delete the " Þ " characters before submitting the text. Anyone got any idea what is going on here?

Now that's weird.

All I can do is make an ¿ or ß or ÿ or ¶ or §....

They are made by pressing Alt + certain numbers.

But I just can't make one of those thingies.

It has to be a setting of your browser.
IE or Mozilla or something else?

Same thing happened to me a couple of years ago..... turned out I was in the Twilight Zone.

What you are getting are non printable keystrokes that mark out spaces etc and usually come up in Work type applications. Looks like you've accidentally activated some function you'll have to deactivate. Which one it is I do not know.

Check the keyboard input language in control panel.
