Interestingly, the pseudo-alternative mall outlet for young hipsters "Urban Outfitters" has been selling Holgas (which are hip and ironic, of course) for the wonderful bargain of $90 for quite some time now. On the one hand, it's amusing to walk past the stack of Holga boxes and think "I could buy that from Freestyle for $20," but it's also irritating to see such an interesting and fun camera turned into a fetish object of the hypocritical culture the store engenders.
Just don't ever google 'lomography'.

IT'S ART BECAUSE IT'S BLURRY!

(It's nice that people are consuming film and all, but some of the "lomographers" are proud of not even looking through the viewfinder, but rather pointing randomly and clicking away... sorry, there has to be SOME effort involved for it to be art in my eyes.)

Shooting it out of a clown cannon would be interesting as well.

alternatively, i can give you a camera, shoot you out of a clown canon, and tell you to take some snaps

you would break the fall for the camera perfectly!

I honestly don't think I will ever be interested in owning a holga.

Ironically, they sell a few of the lomo cameras too, at prices that are even more inflated than lomo prices already are.
