Dear John, I'm Gone

And for those of you who are raising a glass right now, it's only for a couple of weeks.
Anyway, if anyone is in the New Denver/ Rosebery BC vicinity between the 8th and 15th, if you see a kinda largish guy with a Rottweiler and a Pentax walking with a very pretty woman and a Belgian Shepherd, come over and say hi.
I'm told I'm much nicer in person than I am on the internet.

Belgian Shepherds are amazing dogs. I feel sorry for anyone that messes with that pretty woman.

Have a good vacation! Belgian Shepherds come in three flavors. Which are we talking about here?

As far as I know, the tally is four. I used to have a Groenendall before my Australian Sheep Dog, and I'm presently on awaiting list for another one.

I'm not a dog person myself. My sometime girlfriend had a Tervuren (absolutely beautiful dog) up until about a year ago. She always told people that there were three kinds: Tervuren, Malinois, and Groenendael. I think her statement was based on the types recognized by the AKC. Until this evening I was unaware of the fourth type, the Laekenois that is recognized in Britain and elsewhere.

So I learned something new! Thanks!

Steve

(She gave the Tervuren away...it was seven years old and still too much of a handful for her...replaced him with a German Shepherd...)
