Faxing software??

We'll, I'm using Winfax Pro 10.02, but it's become flakey. It will send a built-in cover page, but it will not send a Visioneer scanned document. Since Winfax is no longer supported, it's time for a new program. I thought about using the Windows built-in software that comes with XP, but it appears I cannot attach a file using the scanner. Any opinions on a good cheap or maybe free faxing program for Windows??

Perhaps it is time to forget faxes and send via email.

Not many people fax anymore. If I need to fax something, I ask them for their email address, scan in whatever document needs to be faxed and email it to them. Alot faster and easier that way.

You'd be surprised at how many people still do fax the old fashioned way.

And some still use sneakernet.

I like many, still use faxing for security reasons. It is point to point and emails can be intercepted. Sensitive documents are better sent off via fax.

I was thinking more of like sending out resumes and such. I've never heard of sneakernet... guess I'll have to go check it out.
