other recommended photo forums?

So, PentaxForums is pretty great. But, I am branching out into other brands as well.

Can any of you recommend photographer forums that focus on other brands or which are brand agnostic?

For example, nikonians.org seems reasonable but I don't like their payment model (only paying members may participate after a trial period).

Many thanks,

Reid

rangefinderforum is usually very good even for non-rf film cameras and their galleries are very good

I'm also a subscriber to Photo.net and have found it helpful.

Manual Focus Forum can be fun if you are of that persuasion. It is certainly smaller than PF, but more diverse and experienced member base.

Photographic memory forum. They're not hung up on equipment at all. Can be a bit challenging searching for info in the archives, though, as all threads are erased after one week, members expected to commit all previous posts to memory to keep server space to a minimum.

If you are into manual focus lenses including using them on digital bodies, Manual Focus Lenses is a good international site. Several members from this forum are members over there.

+1 for Rangefinder forums.

Also APUG, if you like film. (I'd probably hang out there a lot too if my computer were faster: I get crashes)

The only other forum I frequent is Digital Imaging forum - dslreports.com broadband community. It's where I started. Not big, but some decent stuff there. Brand agnostic, but there are fanboys for all brands there. As anywhere it's a little heated at times, but mostly all good people.

If you have shot film or or are curious check out APUG (extremely informative and knowledgeable people); they also have a hybrid forum. I have found the Luminous Landscape to be very informative; I do a lot of printing and some of the folks over there are real pros and very helpful. The Online Photographer also makes for some good reading.

Having to pay is the reason why my friend doesn't use Nikonian also, try NikonCafe.com instead.

I joined www.outdoorphoto.co.za

Most of the chaps predominately use Canon/Nikon, with a lot of 1DsMK11, 1DMK111, 7D, 5DMK11, Nikon D300/700/D3/D3x and the brands pro glass with many discussions around them, non inflammatory to boot.

I was a little worried joining with my "little" K10D but have had nothing but positive remarks in terms of my pic posts.

couple more

Digital grin - run by the SmugMug folks.

Photography on the net - Canon-centric and pretty active.
