Veteran's Day in the U.S.

A prayer for all those who died defending the rest of us and a toast to my fellow vets and active military - especially those who faced or now face peril during their service (unlike my cushy peacetime service).

Also, I noticed some shots from Taff of Remembrance Day - so, another toast to our fellow vets around the world.

From a veteran to all other veterans and active duty forces, thank you for all you have done and continue to do. My hope is that the current war efforts will be over soon and everyone returns safe and sound to their love ones.

I'll second that word of thanks! I always called my Dad on Veterans Day to thank him once again for his service in WW2 and long service afterward. He passed away four years ago, and I regret that I no longer have that opportunity. He was a Col.- US Army.
Now I have a youngest Son I can thank for his service . He has served 21 years, US Army-Lt. Col., Gulf War and twice in Afghanistan.
To all the Veterans and Active, we do appreciate your sacrifice and support you in your duties.
Regards
Rupert

I must echo the thanks given above. I have many family members who have served and are serving however I did not. One of my regrets, especially lately.

I always send a card to my grandfather on Vet's Day. He's a member of the "Greatest Generation", was in Burma during WW2.

Big heartfelt thanks to all the Vets and Actives.

Another shout-out of thanks and good vibes to all fellow vets of all services (and nationalities for that matter)...

Especially to those who, like me, were back behind the lines and not part of the pointy end of the stick. The unsung guys and gals who make sure the pointy end gets what it needs, and are often overlooked.
