Bing Cash Back?

Wasn't sure where to post this. Does anyone know how to determine your percentage cashback on an item when you are shopping through a particular store in which Bing advertises say "2-10% cash back" or "you may receive 5% cashback"? Its a little confusing and can make a big difference.

Thanks

If it says 5% it's 5%. They throw in the "may" caveat because you may be ineligible to receive the cashback for one reason or another (e.g., you've gone over the annual limit).

This usually means that they have at least one item at 10%, and usually just one, most of the rest is at 2%.

When there is a range stated expect the lowest amount not the highest.

Beware of Bing cashback. It's been recently discovered that some online stores are raising prices for users detected to be coming from Bing, then applying the cashback, resulting in no (or even negative) savings.

The safest way to do this is to visit the store independently after clearing your cookies (or from another computer) and verifying the price vs. its "Bing cashback price".

Shady to say the least, hopefully Microsoft can step up their policing on this.

Newegg is at 10% today. Good time to get the item you have been waiting on. Ebay should go up friday also, although it may only go upto 10%.
