Post your favorite films of the decade

I wrote up a list of my favorite 50 for a thread on another board, but I figured we might have a nice discussion about the decade in film here, being that we're all photographers and appreciators of the photographic arts.

Here we go!

NOTE: you don't have to list as many as I am. obviously.

To be honest, I don't think I have seen 50 films in the past 10 years, at least not in the theatre. Maybe one or two a year. My personal favorites would be the 3 Lord of the Rings movies (maybe more than 10 years?, I loose track of time).

There could end up to be a lot of films listed here, but a couple that flew under the radar a bit should be mentioned - Elephant and Last Days, by Gus Van Sant. Check them out if you haven't already.

I think Gerry is my favorite Van Sant of the decade, though Paranoid Park is also very good. He's rarely bad, though (Psycho, Finding Forrester).

Following is a complete list of the movies I have watched which were made in the last decade:

0.

Thank you for reading the list.

The complete list of the ones from the last two decades wouldn't be much longer.

That's a shame, man. Not that there aren't tons from decades earlier worth devoting your time to.

Rambo 4 was a whole lot better than I was expecting - it and First Blood are the only two I'd recommend watching to somebody unfamiliar with the series. Clint Eastwood had a couple of good movies (Gran Torino, Letters from Iwo Jima, Flags of our Fathers). Moon was a good low(ish) budget Sci-Fi ( Moon (2009) ). Howl's Moving Castle was worth seeing.
