What movie did you just watched last?

What movie did you watch last and how was it?

I just finished watching Before The Devil Knows You're Dead. It was a pretty cool movie, a bit too violent for my taste. I used to be able to handle violent movies like American History X and Cidade De Deus (City of God) like no problem, but now it's a lot different.

The Watchmen and I loved it. The timeline from the 60's to the 80's was a big draw for me and superheroes who had human issues just like ordinary folk....

It's been a while since I went to the theatre. I got the Dark Knight dvd recently. I liked it a lot.

At home: Shall We Dance (Fred Astaire/Ginger Rogers-- Netflix online)

At the cinema: Where the Wild Things Are

Both great films IMHO.

Bullitt with Steve McQueen, Jacqueline Bisset, Robert Vaughn, Robert Duvall and Norman Fell. Found it on Blu-Ray with special features for $13.99 on a clearance rack. The director's commentary is a bit dry but a featurette on McQueen is included as is a nicely done modern documentary on film editing.

I'm always stunned by the beautiful photography setups and the Lalo Schifrin score is a classic. And worst of all it reminds me that I shouldn't have sold my old Mustang.

Since it's the season, I watched White Christmas with Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye. Two of my favorite cable channels have to be AMC and Turner Classic Movies.

Just watched Bullitt again. Can't beat Steve McQueen's person management skills!

But before that saw Let The Right One In, which was phenomenal.

Am working through The Decalogue in the lead-up to Christmas. Fantastic work.
