Throw away your camera!

we don't need them anymore.

(It's a long buffer on the video, but worth the wait )

I guess this technology has been around in some form for a while, but searching the internet for pictures is surely something new?

Sometimes I wonder if it's just some silly internet hoax.

Fertile fodder for Intellectual Property attorneys if this is real. Even assuming it's defendable under "fair use" principles, it ignores copyright issues or attribution of ownership of the original scene elements (required even for "fair use").

In some ways it is similar to an un-named application developed by two researchers from Carnegie Mellon University (See Here) or Microsoft's "Photosynth" application (See Here)

Oh, and this really doesnt mean everyone can throw their cameras away it just means that people who are too lazy or unskilled to take their own can steal from those of us who shoot real photos.

I find it fascinating. I think that this still does not mean that you can throw your camera away. What I like about it is that the end product involves 1) conception of idea, 2) planning 3) Execution.

To me this is far better shooting thousands on burst mode and pick one or two that turned out to be fine by accident. At the very very least this is an excellent exercise for framing.
