I'm not sure how being able to put a crosshair on a target (something I'll admit I am quite good at) translates in any way to photography, other than looking thru a tube with glass lenses.

Snipering has a single rigid purpose, getting the round on target using set techniques... there may be some creativity in how you do it, but not in the result.

Photography on the other hand is about as multi-purpose as it gets and is all about creativity, every step from start to finish *is* creativity. Being able to look thru a lens is just one small detail in a big picture (yes pun intended).

Just my 2 cents worth...
