Besides photography what other hobbies do you have ?

Besides photography what other hobbies do you have ?

Reading...in these areas...natural science, political, history, mystery, automotive, motorcycles.

I also have a very small collection of two vintage motorcycles:
  • '67 Matchless 750cc Scrambler G15 CS- they were known as desrt sleds, have 750cc Norton Atlas twin cylinder engines shoehorned in a lightweight Matchless frame
  • '78 Yamaha SR 500- bought new in '78 by me, has 500 cc big single cylinder engine...great bike

What are your hobbies ?

Humm. the problem for me is this hobby rules all my waking hours.
So of late everything else has taken a back seat.

Sailboat racing
Woodworking
Lionel trains (now on a box)
Used to drive a 1969 BSA Lightning just like this (not my pic) but that was sold....

I LOVE welding, the bigger the project, the more fun I have

I LOVE diesel trucks, especially mine

I LOVE mountain biking, I don't let Winter stop me

I LOVE Linux, I've been an avid Linux hobbyist (and general Microsoft hater) for a decade

I LOVE auto body, I actually trained to do it professionally but decided to do it as a hobby instead

Photography fits right in with all of the above, it's the ultimate complementary hobby.

edit: forgot to mention reading, I LOVE that too, mostly fiction and stuff related to my hobbies... and I despise talking politics

I do full contact kickboxing...but the studio I have been training at for 7 years just closed So I guess that is a "hobbie" that's in on hold until I find a new place.

I'm teaching myself to play guitar and I do all other sorts of crafts. But honestly, with 4 young kids, they are really my hobby...running them from one sport to the next, doing their laundry...does that count as a hobby

Model railway (don't really have the space for it anymore), biking (nothing better than a dutch dike but nowadays I live in SA), hiking, computers (my work is one of my hobbies so I'm always enjoying my work).

Wow! that looks an awful lot like my old 650 Lightning... put almost a million miles on it in the early 70's, went all over Mexico and Texas too. One of the best bikes I ever owned....I spent a lot of cash on it, but mostly cosmetics...nickel plating the swing arm, fork, etc...some custom paint and some trumpet exhausts. I have some photos somewhere...great days back then!
Regards!

I collect vintage cameras as well as .027 model trains, mainly Marx and post-war Lionel. Both endeavors center around working collections. I also dabble in the shop on some mechanical oriented things.

I had no idea model trains were such a popular hobby among photographers. I've never personally known a model train collector, but I've never hung out with photographers either.
