According to the talking heads on the NFL channel, Manning is the underdog and has to prove himself among the great QB. The goof ball on the right went as much to say only 1 Super Bowl ring won't put him on the list with the all time great QBs. I hated to here that for Joe Willy and the Snake.

However, since free agency and flux of player movement, I pull for teams with Razerbacks or Vols on them. I.E. I'm a free agent fan. When I was a kid I liked the Rams, Chargers and Jets.

Carrie Underwood boy can she belt it out,as for the queen a little on the nerves, still Manning to me has the goods but on the same line the Saints are playing straight from the heart.Good to see a perfect game waiting to unfold

Well, it looks like there's the coin toss. I think I'll be rooting for New Orleans, for some not-exactly-related-to-following-football reasons. Till the Puppy Bowl gets my attention.

And, there've been far worse renditions of our notoriously-unsignable national anthem, actually, Cupic.

I don't think Francis Scott Key had a problem signing it at all. Furthermore, there isn't a more fitting national anthem for us.

Back to the Super Bowl.

You do realize that the Colts have more players from NO area than does the Aints don't you? However, both teams have some Vols on them.

Oh, I like the anthem just fine.

*looking back in on game.* This looks like progress. It hadn't been looking too good for the Saints at first, there.

There will probably be the largest crime wave in 40 years along the Gulf Coast.

Gutsy play calls - great simple execution - few lucky breaks and indeed the French Quarter Bourbon Street will be Madri Gras like tonight

Really refreshing lack of penalty flags and the right team won. Love it.

No kidding, Dave. I've been on Bourbon on a "normal" night; I can only imagine what last night (which probably continues still) was like.

I hear ya I have been on Bourbon Street once as well. I was staying in a hotel for a conference that ran Sunday - Wednesday, I arrived on Saturday evening. I heard some 'noise' from my room around 10:00pm - asked the concierge what the racket was - he said Bourbon Street U-Miss had won that afternoon. Turns out I was about a block away so checked it out naturally , it was an experience (and like you this was just any ole Saturday mid September and pre-Katrina as well).

And like a lot of others I thought the Who was better left a memory - The music and light show was great Roger and Peter well they aren't 40 anymore
