My fave headline is still one from Rolling Stone a few decades ago, about a disintegrating band that abandoned its foreign tours:

The 1983 New York Post headline HEADLESS BODY IN TOPLESS BAR will be hard to beat.

My parents tell me a great story about a headline from a local paper in Darwin, NT (Aus):

"Wanka pulls it off again"

...Apparently Wanka was a star player in the rugby team and the article was about how they won the grand final!

The NY Post is a Rupert Murdoch tabloid rag. The only reason anyone buys it is for its very good sports section.
