Palin and her family has used Canadian Health care

How ironic that Sarah Pailn and here family has used The great evil socialized health care in Canada. In fact residents of her former home town still use it today in Whitehorse (Yukon).

Amazing that the Canadian 'Death Panels" didn't have them done away with....

QuoteQuote:
"Believe it or not — this was in the '60s — we used to hustle on over the border for health care that we would receive in Whitehorse. I remember my brother, he burned his ankle in some little kid accident thing, and my parents had to put him on a train and rush him over to Whitehorse, and I think, isn't that kind of ironic now. Zooming over the border, getting health care from Canada."

QuoteQuote:
There's now a road to Whitehorse about 112 miles away, but people still take advantage of Whitehorse dentists or doctors rather than flying to Alaska's capital, Juneau, 90 miles to the south.

"If you can't fly to Juneau — and a lot of times you can't, especially in the winter — they're going to get you to a medical treatment facility if it's an emergency, and that's normally where Whitehorse comes into play," Cochran said (Skagway Mayor Tom Cochran).

In a later story, she said her mother had to take her brother down to Juneau on the ferry to get help for the burned ankle. Guess it could be true, her brother had 2 ankles.

Typical politician. Although not often mentioned, thousands of American senior citizens cross the border daily in NY to get prescriptions in Canada they can't afford to buy here. It is technically illegal but not often enforced and they don't want the embarrassment of arresting bus loads of grannys who have to leave the country to buy their arthritis meds.

At least it's not locked yet
I mentioned it to a tea bagger I know.
His response was that she was paid to say that.
My response?
I guess she can be bought and sold then?
He had no response.
Telling, that.

Just wait until we get running water and electricity here in Canada....we'll have all sort of people driving up from the States in their fancy cars to use our health care. I don't think it's a good idea....those noisy cars tend to scare our horse drawn carts.....and the locals get all excited.

My mailman was running a little late last week. When I asked him why he told me that he got delayed, because they're finally installing telegraph lines along his dogsled trail.
So we may have a more modern form of communication soon
