What does it mean when someone scores perfect on an abstract, meaningless test? That he's perfectly meaningless?

What does it mean when someone pisses on a stranger's parade?

i think you have the SAT confused with the IQ test.

its not abstract, and its not meaningless

a high SAT score means that you have a firm grasp and deep understanding of English grammar and intermediate math. You also have something thats worth saying and you say it well.

That he's on a quest to make himself feel superior at the expense of said strangers

Or, that he's being sarcastic.

Take your pick!

That's entirely possible. Since I wasn't planning on attending a US school, I didn't bother taking the SAT.

But those stupid online IQ tests claim I'm smarter than everyone I know! And that's all that really matters.

That probably means he's going to get into a perfectly meaningless ivy league school with a scholarship of some meaningless sort.

hehe, I'd never consider a scholarship "meaningless" by any stretch of the imagination. I wonder if I would've continued school if I'd gotten a scholarship...

I doubt that the kid thinks it's meaningless. Getting an education isn't meaningless. A scholarship isn't meaningless unless you think paying off student loans for the next 20 years has meaning somehow, both for the student and parents.

I hope so... we're still paying off my wife's student loans, and will be for at least another 15 years @ $2000/month.

Medical. It costs a lot to become a doctor. It costs even more when the loans were made in Canada to pay a US tuition back when the exchange rate was at $1.55/$1 (US/CAD), and now we're using US income to pay those Canadian loans after the exchange rate has swung back completely the other way. (currently practically $1/$1). It's like we took 33% of the Canadian loan and flushed it down the toilet, and now we have to pay it back anyways.
