Er, I find this contradictory.

Yep, i know that. But for just getting there i need something about 3000AUD, just for the tickets. I read the immi.gov.au and many "ausee" immigration forums. Wanted to move to your place, but it wont be so easy. My specialization not listed in MODL, so by now the immigration is unreal.

I got lucky by busting ass, saving, and good timing. Luck is the reward of careful preparation. (I think that's a Japanese proverb.) OK, so I used 'lucky' as a metaphor for "don't be stupid". Not that I haven't made dumb choices; but my good choices more than balanced out. Don't wait for opportunities; prepare for them.

Only if you're in Central America.

I learned this from playing too much Counter-Strike back in my high school days... Skill is when luck becomes a routine.

Oh no; I meant, if you were in Central America, you'd be a fat drunk slob. Probably. At least, the Russians I saw there were. You'll likely stay thin as long as you stay on that side of the Atlantic. Or if you do go to Central America, you'll be mistaken for French. It's like, when I was in Italy, I learned how not to dress like a USAnian. So now when I travel, I get mistaken for a Canadian. That's why I say EH? a lot, eh?

Of course not all the Americans are a stupid, I'm not telling that. But there is a good Russian proverb that is perfectly fits here - A one nasty sheep will spoil all the herd.
Avery similar to your's - One rotten apple will spoil a whole barrel.

There is always some good and some bad people in any nationality.

So, thanks everyone for a good sense of humor. Hope that this topic will not die soon.

Now i have to get some sleep. GN

I'm sure I don't speak for every single American on the globe, but I think that for the most part we're pretty much over the Commie-fear thing. Just sayin'.

Whaa??? The core of stupidity? Naah... I'm russian you people think that we sleep with AK-47's, have a big red stars on our toruses, and a big stupid hats, that we speak with stupid accent. And of course the bears, mafia & vodka is our best friends.
That's funny! I live in Florida and people say similar things about us only its, a different rifle. Our best friends could be bears or gators, and the booze is diverse. Although its other people that talk funny and not us.

That's how all Those Other People are. When Europeans started conquering North America, explorers encountered Native Americans, sometimes peacefully, but were usually given glowing descriptions of all the Really Good Stuff that could be found Just A Few Days Away In That Direction. (Y'all better run right over before it's all gone.)

And when the Euros asked the names of the peoples-tribes-nations to be found in the area, the locals would reply with their friendly labels for Those Other People: dog-eaters, deer-f*ckers, lazy farts, sh!t-for-brains, booty bandits, etc. Only, in their language, it had a nice ring to it. So such labels became the Official Designations of many peoples.

Those Other People are always despised, are always perverts, and they eat and act and smell and talk weird, and They Want Our Women (or boys) (or sheep), etc.
