Both of my cameras are broke, and I wanna shoot soo bad I am tempted to buy another K10D until I get mine back from Pentax.

Just a thought, but if you have some older lenses why not get a used Pentax 35mm film camera.
Most are affordable, and some people say they take better pictures

"shoot soo bad..."? Sometimes, a different meaning for me. This one is about the same cost as a K10; maybe...

Sure helps when I need to 'vent'.

I feel for you man .

Why don't you try some Kodak single use camera in BW ? Very fun , cheap .

Also check out some old range finder . I found a Canonet QL 17 G II QL , comes with 40mm f1.7 lens !!!! .With clean up & battery = less than 100 bucks ! Yard sales are good place to look for those old camera !

But really my friend if you were to pickup another camera (film or digital) would you be happy or would it make you want your K10 back even more? If you have the resources then I would suggest another K10. (Trying to make Pentax a profit here)

I absolutely second the purchase of a cheap, film camera... whether SLR or rangefinder. It will open up new avenues of photography as you wait for the DSLRs to return.

Yashica GSNs (I was just talking to Mike Cash about this yesterday on this forum) are very nice rangefinders that go for about $50 on eBay. You'll learn about rangefinders (I'm pretty new to them myself), make a few mistakes, have some nice photographs and get a new pocketable and unobtrusive camera. Can't lose

Both the bodies are out-of-action? What happened?

I bought one on Ebay with flash for under $70. It was fun and educational changing the light seal foams. Then I changed the leather skin to personalize it. It takes great pictures and is small enough to carry in almost any pocket.

I used to have a digital camera for when my film camera failed, now it is reversed.

Definitely have backup!

BTW it's the G III QL ( not G II in the original post ..oops )

QL stands for " quick loading " .

Of course there is a "bad" side effect comes with using film cameras nowaday :

" You're too young to use film " !!!!!

"How come it doesn't have a screen on the back ? "

But always turn into some wonderful talks and leads to where I "should" shoot :-)

I don't think I would be accused of that.

The 40mm, f1.7 lens on the QLIII is sharp as a tack and fast too!
There are a ton of them on Ebay and not all are in as pristine shape as the one I got - you have to be selective.

I don't think this is helping Buddha Jones much, though.

How about a cheap digital P&S?
the photos will not be as good, but they are handy for outings when you don't expect to find anything worth shooting.... then bang! the moment appears and you have the P&S...

great as a back up camera as well
