Veterans Report - Senate Passes Welcome Home Day

35 years too late.

I shake the hand and say "welcome home" to every Viet Nam veteran that marches in every parade here in Savannah, every year. and any that I see when im out and about. and I will continue to do just that, year after year.

I would also shake hands with them, however we don't have that many in the UK.
I will be remembering Robert Jacy Todd, USMC, KIA on 9 May 1967 the day I was born.

I had a beer for my uncle that passed year before last Sgt. C.S.H. The army sent an honor guard to Wichita for his funeral. He served 23 years in the army including 3 gigs in 'Nam that netted him a Purple Heart, Bronze Star and Silver Star. I was a kid at the time but I remember many of his assignments. I remember that he was drafted for the 1st gig and came home after it was up. Then about a year later he re-enlisted and stayed in for ~21-22 years more years.
