Next time consider to let members vote for the most helpful / useful / friendly / entertaining / (whatever) forum members or thread or reviews or (whatever). Members should be rewarded by providing a continued service to the community not by managing to win a quantity contest in a certain period of time.

We had a similar thing happening before and it generated a lot of noise.
