Yeah, I'm quite surprised at the longevity of this. I suppose it's the ease with which it can be altered that's resulted in to many. That and the fact that we like to see Hitler (even a fictional one) frustrated. Can you say schadenfreude?

I like it, its a bit of a different take from the others where the generals were bringing him the bad news.
In the end he reminisces about how good film was... so Pentax.

i lol'd, these hitler vids are all pretty funny, some are extremly well done too.

I'm sure you'll see quite a few different version of it to come. The creativity of some people is simply amazing. Might be funny to see one about the K-x focus points not being visible too.

I like the bit about Sony and Stalin, great use of the actual dialogue. Nice idea on the K-x one

I suppose you can find it unsubtitled somewhere easily enough...

Honestly, I think the D3 version was the funniest, some of them just don't cut it. This one is funny though. Probably should have done a Hitler as RiceHigh vid though...

Hi:

I am not politically correct. I am Jewish and a conservative--there are not many of us. And, I am not one who asks that Christmas and Easter be deleted from the vocabulary--bring on the Christmas carols (so long as I can hear my dreidel songs, too). I also do not take offense easily and am not offended by the video, but I must ask--aren't there other similar snippets of video where make believe subtitles can be inserted? Maybe its an homage to Mel Brooks.

Recently, I was contacted by a model to do a shoot. I took a look at her Facebook page and in her photo section about 2 or 3 pages in I saw her standing under a Nazi flag. I kind of did a double take. It is not often you see that. And, my last name is about as Jewish as they get. I do not have many rules, but have a few: be nice to others; be honest; love my wife; and, no photo sessions with Nazis.

Anyway, not ofended, but puzzled as to why another similar video, sans the Nazis, could not have been used.

Because the original parody video (I can't even remember which one was the first one) has already become a meme and part of the comedy is predicated on that fact. I.e., we find this video amusing partly because we've all seen many other versions of it before.

So the answer I guess is "Because the first parody was well done and funny and became an internet phenomenon".
