Good luck. I’ve been hunting that diopter for years. Be advised, there were at least three versions of that lens, each with slightly different distance scales. The hood is 2-piece Metal.
I've found out. Maybe I'll just get some old 58mm close up filter but that won't match it has to be something like +0.45. close up filters start at +1

Just acquired an entire film kit as a hand-me-down. Included a Pentax MX, MX winder, SMC-K 24mm f/2.8, SMC-M 50mm f/1.4, SMC 45-125 f/4, a bunch of expired Tri-X, filters galore and a Vivitar flash.
Nice! Where can I get such a hand-me-down?

The ultimate impulse purchase: a raffle ticket from the Salvation Army bake sale in the local mall. I actually won a raffle! WOW. Diet be darned.

Bought 6 tickets, 3/$1, having $2 in change in my pocket.

It would be nice to visit BC and now I have an excuse! Last time I went in 2009, I think. The one before was in 2006 when we were on parental leave. Took our 5 month old son on a drive from Calgary to Prince Rupert, down the inside passage, down to Victoria, and back to Calgary through the Okanagan... One of the most vivid memories had to do with a stretch of a road around Hazelton. The highway was closed and we had to take a logging road and make it to the ferry. My wife was racing down this logging road rally style while I was sitting in the back singing "Itsy bitsy spider" at the top of my voice as that was the only thing that would keep our son quiet. Good old days...

Sweet! The MX with winder is a lovely package, fits the hand wonderfully. Just be careful of the little hatch for the AA cells on the winder. If the threads strip out.... Poor design, IMHO. The battery tray for the ME Super's winder is better. If the manuals weren't included Mike Butkus can help. See his site orphancameras.com If you use it send him a few bucks so he can continue his wonderful work.

An excellent acquisition!

Now does thread etiquette require that you stack some lenses next to it to show how many cookies you got?

SET RED_FACE ON.
There are only enough cookies left to be a bit short of my DA* 16-50. Salvation Army home baked cookies don't last long here.

Not breaking out the cookies till later this weekend...

But here is the lovely FA* 28-70 that came the day of our last blizzard.[IMG][/IMG]
Image SOOC from my K-r

Here are some Mardi Gras beads since it is the season, SOOC and a very heavy crop at F/5.6 and I think 37mm with fill flash.

She looks large on the KP but it is really just a hefty lens. But FA* makes up for a little extra weight around the hood.

Quite a flurry of activity for me recently. Only one Pentax item - a beautiful SV which is going to need a service. A Fujica ST705W in super nick except mirror foam and light seals need replacing and a couple of non Pentax compatible lenses - Yashica ML 55mm f2.8 Macro and Canon FL 50mm F3.5 Macro, both in super condition.
The money was going to be spent on a Voigtlander 40mm SLII, but as I already have a 45mm f2.8 Auto Revunon and HD DA 40mm f2.8.......

I was very good today though. Went to LCS to get some film processed and drop aforementioned cameras off for service, and in spite of it being an Alladin's cave of gorgeous old film stuff and there being 3 or 4 very tempting items for sale, I managed to walk away without damaging my wallet..... But that Panagor 55mm f3 Macro in M42 and Minolta SR1 I saw are definitely tugging at me.
