WHERE did you order the Ektachrome? My Super Program has been waiting patiently - and I have been getting more impatient. I haven't seen any availability announcements.
Both B&H and Adorama currently has it available for sale.

YEE HAW!!! ordered!!!

I still don't know why I haven't seen any kind of announcement that Ektachrome was finally available at retail. I checked at the largest photo shop in Austin Texas several times over the winter.

Yeah, it was one of those things where you had to wait on the "In Stock" sign to pop up and if not quick enough, suffer with the "Back-ordered/Waiting For More" sign until they were in stock lol

I ordered my new Kodak Ektachrome film from Midwest Photo Exchange.
They are a good seller I've used previously. https://mpex.com/

MPEX was the only seller offering individual rolls of Kodak Portra 400.
All other sellers I checked currently won't split up 5-roll "Pro packs".

I ordered the Ilford Pan 400 film from eBay seller films-festival in Thailand.
After ordering I found out Firstcall also offers both it in rolls and 100' spools.

Battery acquisition

I just received a battery order for the Panasonic 2CR5 so I can put my PZ-1P back into action.

got a different brand for a pz-20 recently received.....think it had smc'm' 50/f1.7, tokina 28-70 AF, and the crazy F 70-200 power zoom....all seem functional looking forward to running a few rolls through it

also a sears auto-tls m42 body(good but light meter is faulty) and a yashica c tlr that I got for parts(leather case cover/proper yashica lens cover) and swapped viewfinder hoods as this one was clearer and has the frensel screen which I am not to comfy switching out yet) for a working yashica c I have...although I think I can get the shutter fully functional (slow speeds are bad) and the focus mechanism is messed up (although it can focus just not properly to infinity)

Another slightly weird weekend - no lenses for a change...

Swapped a couple of compact cameras I didn't want to try to sell and £15 for a Lubitel TLR - not a wonderful deal since there's some fungus, but ought to make a small profit on the cash side at least.
Also got a set of Zenit M42 extension tubes in a Bakelite tub for £1, a 2gb CF card for £2, and a Novoflex gizmo for clamping a flash to a lens, a Hama slide duplicator, and a very weird weighing scale in a velvet-padded box for £9 - the scale is for my collection of weird scientific crap, and turned out to be for weighing paper to find out the GSM weight - there's a template under the velvet for cutting an exactly sized sample.

Then I found a MacBook Pro power supply for a fiver, which I'm currently using on my laptop as I type, and a Mac Mini without power supply for a tenner - the latter is working well on the supply for my own Mac Mini, and turns out to be the same specification - just made an offer for a suitable supply and will hopefully be able to sell it on for a modest profit. On the whole I'm reasonably happy, though I might be happier if I'd spotted how bad the Lubitel is before I bought it...

Four euros and in the "junk" camera bin (!) ... I could not believe it, and I have already shot two rolls for B&W with it.
Where is the thrift shop located?

5x 60mm I/D rubber "O" rings in the hope that they might fit snugly around the K/KA-to-body mounting area when the lens is fitted to the body in order to improve water/"weather" ingress (especially for non-WR/AW lenses like my Sigmas) - and they actually do seem to do that quite nicely.

Only downside noted so far is that they fall off when you dismount the lens from the body, and so will probably get lost easily! Good job, then, I bought 5 of them from here for the princely sum of 99p - delivered from China! - if anyone is interested!
Any focus issues when using these 'O' rings? - especially wide open on faster lenses? They have to be putting a lot of stress on the lens mount (both body and lens), and pushing the lens ever so slightly further away from the sensor.

I ordered the K-S2 with 18-135 lens for the $450 special. I have a KP and K10D along with lenses, but my wife has expressed an interest in using a DSLR. She's been using my K10D to learn. The K-S2 is far more advanced than the K10D and will be also capable backup to the the KP in our travels. At the same time, I'd been seriously considering getting the 18-135 WR for all around use, which became more important as it seems I'll have another person needing lenses.

My way of thinking was that an 18-135 is ~$400, so for an extra $50 I get a K-S2 too. It seemed a no brainer to me.

There was a photo swap meet Sunday at Veigné which is just south of Tours and about an hour's drive north for me ... and I picked up some goodies. From one vendor a Minolta MD 28/2.8 and a Tamron AD-2 28/2.8 with a Fujica mount for 10€ each ...

From another vendor, a Minolta MD 35/1.8 for 30€ ...

More from my escapades at Veingé ... this time in the "junk" bins on the floor of a certain vendor ... always checked out the junk bins for hidden treasures !!!

For 15€, a very nice Yashica ML 50/1.4 and a Leica lens presentation stand ...

For 15€ from the same junk bin seller, a Fujinon W 35/3.5 in M42 and a like new "aus Jena" (read CZJ) Flektogon 35/2.4 in M42 ... score for the Flektogon ... happy camper !!!

And last, but not least from the same junk bins on the floor ... two Leitz lenses (M39) in really bad shape for 10€ each.

First is a Summitar 50/2 from 1940 that I was able to salvage except for the collapsing lens barrel which has been butchered ... it took me over two hours to repair the severely seized aperture ring along with the focusing helicoid ... The another is a Summar 50/2 from 1935, but it's just for parts since the rear element is badly scratched and the rest is not much better ... here shown partially dissembled ... just a word of advice ... "Always search the secrets of the junk bin!"

The Summitar 50/2 is on my Leica IIIf Red Dial now and ready for a trial spin ... too much fun!

The butchered barrel of the Summitar ...but, it's quite usable now after my repairs and CLA ...images to come soon.
