I just can't stop my self. For less than €9,- (Discounting shipping) A nice all metal Soligor 135mm 2.8, made by Tokina. It came with a very 'useful' Canon FD to m42 adapter.
That is a nice looking Soligor you got there!

I bought a GX85 with 12-35mm and 45-150mm kit for $320 open box used on Amazon. Because I was tired of hearing how Pentax was doooomed, and now I can read all about how micro four thirds is dooomed. Joking aside, I wanted this as a second camera for hiking and traveling and its been great for that. In body Image stablization, small body, small lens, good ergonomics. I thought that Fuji was the closest to Pentax in design philosophy, but in reality I am way happier with Panasonic vs Fuji. I start to wonder if the same engineering and ergonomics philosophies is why the Panasonic S1 and the Pentax K series look so similar.
Excellent deal! I too got a GX80/GX85 (what's the point with having different names for the same model depending on where it's sold?!) a couple of days ago, partly thinking it might make a good kit for traveling but mostly wanting to see if I like the format.

I'll not entirely convinced of the ergonomy of the thing, but it looks to produce very nice images. After a few incidents of "runaway focus point" I disabled the touch screen. And I wish I could assign ISO adjustments to the eheel click like I can on the GR. But I guess I'll figure out how to get around those quirks with some more use.

I suppose I should look for some adapters for my m42 and PK lenses as well. And some way to adapt projector lenses. And maybe look for some Pentax 110 lenses. Argh, what have i gotten myself into?

Interesting about the Canon FD to M42 converter. I once had a FD to K-mount converter, which did not work out well. Because of incompatible registrary distances, that converter had to have extra glass, effectively eliminating the sought for quality of the FD 55mm f 1.2 lens I wanted to use. I am wondering if your FD-M42 converter will work better. Do you plan to try it?

Just piecing 1 and 2 together - I'd like to know the answer to that my self... I wanted an FD to EOS adapter but that extra glass drove me away. an FD to M42 simple adapter that reached infinity sounds tempting

I don't have FD bodies and if I did, don't shoot film. But Fotodiox claims their adapter which looks similar achieves infinity. Of course it enables the use of m42, which has a 3.46mm longer flange focal distance than canon FD and fits well inside the FD mount. Mounting FD lenses on M42 would be equally problematic as it is for K-mount.

eBay lists plenty of M42 to FD adapters, to allow M42 lenses to be mounted on cameras like the old AE-1, F, and A-1, but no FD to M42 adapters that would allow using an FD lens in an M42 camera. That is what I would like since I have lot of old unused FD lenses. You may have something that is rare!

That's M42 to FD, of course, but may well be worth more than the lens if you decide to sell it on. And no, I'm not kidding. Check it out on eBay - real Canon ones are priced sky-high.

Worth more than I paid for the lens. But then again then lens is also worth more than I paid for it.

A nice little job lot of PK gear, all clean and working well:

SMC Pentax-M 135/3.5
Pentax F zoom, 28-80 3.5-4.5
and an auto teleplus x2 converter, KM but still useful
Cost £18 plus postage, should do well.

Met him over on the pet thread, but I'll comment here - too d--- cute. Goldie puppies are just about irresistible. Do not bring small children close to a litter that's on offer.

Rather than haz, upon inspecting closer your photo, it seems to be like flaking from the coating on the inside part of the element (worse than haze as haze can be easily cleaned off).

Anyway you can open the back plate and release that last element w/o much effort?
