Unfortunately this is a example of rubbing salt directly into the wounds!

I'm sure whoever bagged it will be very pleased with it; it looked a nice example.

Now to try and find something that will fill the void...

oh...sorry...

it's a pain finding a 46mm hood for it..

No need to apologise! I can't really be bitter - there were factors against me and (surely) there's a reason I didn't win it (right?)!

I'll keep my eyes peeled for something else that produces as interesting a bokeh, for sure.

my Fujinon 55m f2.2 is an amazing little M42 lens, too... but trying to find one that the plastic isn't cracked/broken can be frustrating....

Good to know! Thanks for the pointers. I've managed to buy a genuine Pentax K-to-M42 adapter for a mere £13 including postage today, too, so this has put me in the mood for trying something M42-based.

I agree with both cyberjunkie and cabessius; it is an amazing bokeh lens...

one thing l do disagree with is how sharp the 55 - it's surprisingly sharp - put a hood on it to tame the light a bit and it's quite happy....

And now I have one on its way to me, seller claims it’s got no splits in the plastic. Decent price too!

awesome - you did see the note about the nub on the back of the lens that has to be removed to allow the lens to fit flush/infinity focus, right?
