After about 1.5 months without purchases - just acquired an "upgrade" for my A 100/4 Macro - the K 100/4 Macro = why I call it an "upgrade", well eventhough the optic formula is the same, I like the Ks better, and I always use this lens fully manual, disregarding the A setting.

Still not decided whether to part ways with my A 100/4 (its been featured quite a lot lately)

Not photographic. I have been suffering a nasty viral infection for three months and don't have the energy to go photo-ing. I have consoled myself with this ebay purchase of a Waterford 1980's cocktail glass.

maybe not what the doctor ordered but keeps me sane.

The seller already found the right lens and will send it to me. Still have to ask him what to do with the helios. I already have one. I don't know much about the xy surveillance other than that it is made in Japan and probably meant for video surveillance camera's i it's kind of a gamble It probably has a stepless aperture ring (in front of the lens) and a m42 thread. (So most likely also a m42 registry distance) kind of a gamble.
It looks a lot like a 35mm t-mount lens, except that there doesn't seem to be the usual double aperture ring arrangement, though the red dot on what appears to be a screw mount is odd.

After much emotional turmoil over whether to get a used K-S2, new K70 or used KP, for use with my smaller prime lenses, a used KP with only 500 shots only came up for £550, just £50 more than the K70, so I took the plunge. It arrived Tuesday. So far I think I made the right decision, but the K-S2 with 10K shots for £250 was soooo tempting.

It is probably related to lenses described here: https://www.ultravioletphotography.com/content/index.php/topic/1028-uv-capab...4464#entry4464

BTW does anyone else still listen to FM radio?
Very rarely, usually in the car or pickup, and usually the local NPR station. On Friday and Saturday evenings they have a program, All Blues, which is nice to tune in.

I have an XM radio, so usually that is what I use for listening. It drops into a cradle, and I have one in all my vehicles and one in the house and one in the shop.

Then there is my iPod with over 7,000 songs and growing. I wear noise isolating earbuds while at work, or while mowing grass and doing other chores around the house, or plug it into the stereo head units in my vehicles.

New 2-Car Garage Door (on the way August 20). Sigh. Deposit equivalent to a KP and the total about the same as a K-1ll.

I suppose Iíll be posting on the de-acquisition thread for a while and the prospects of the 85/1.4 just went down dramatically. It is probably time to bite the bullet and sell all the DA lenses and most of the collection except the K lenses. There are worse things than using the FA Limiteds on KP instead of the DA Limiteds.

Both cars were trapped in the garage. Since I bought a garage door they waived the $377 emergency after-hours service call fee. I had no idea garage doors were that expensive - Iíve lived here 23 years and it supposedly was 16 years old when we bought the house, so we got our money worth anyway..
What was wrong with the door that it couldnít be opened?

I recently had to replace my iPod Classic (it finally just quit on me) and I'm not sure the iPod Touch I replaced it with is really making my cockles any warmer....

Still have an 80gig iPod Classic, works great. It lives in a dock connected to my stereo system upstairs.

When I picked up the iPod Touch 6 a couple years ago I suspicious of all the phone like features. But it has proven useful, with apps for things that have useful utility, like an app to locate stars, planets and far off galaxies when attempting night photography.

And I check in here while having breakfast, like right now.

A roller had come untracked and had been serviced twice. One panel had been slightly bent, serviced and then missed joining its mate. My wife closed the door despite it ‘looking funny’ when she opened it, which caused the entire door to skew 6” high on one side. Of course that wedged it shut.

16’x7’ insulated double door. Springs and closer are recently replaced and were force tuned. To a degree I got tired of missing work and paying for service calls.
