it came with the original neck strap, battery and battery charger and manual

I like that it takes the same battery as my K 3 and K 3 II

The initial statement confused me too.

Four thirds and micro four thirds are a set of standards, the most important of which is the mount rather than the size or aspect ratio of the sensor, despite the names. I think that the four thirds sensor size is almost exactly the size of a negative from a 110 camera though, so I assume you meant that the size of the light-sensitive media are the same.

The K-01 and 40mm xs are a match made in heaven. Fun combo, I'm sure you'll love it.

Fun fact, mine also came with the original strap but within a week it broke in half while I was picking it up. Since that day I've never used a neck strap for any of my cameras.

You may know that Marc Newson did design them both:

The Pentax K01 camera is designed by the well-known industrial designer Marc Newson, so Pentax has not just focused on the technical specifications, but also paid attention to the looks and feel of this new camera.

The SMC Pentax DA 40mm XS is based on the optical design of the SMC Pentax DA 40mm Limited, but its exterior is designed by Marc Newson so as to match the design of the K-01 mirrorless camera. The lens will work with Pentax DSLRs as well as with the K-0

Read more at: SMC Pentax-DA 40mm F2.8 XS Reviews - DA XS Prime Lenses - Pentax Lens Reviews & Lens Database

and the XS was one of the kit lenses sold with the K 01 when it was launched:

The SMC Pentax-DA 40mm F2.8 XS lens is a new ultra-compact lens launched alongside the K-01, and it's part of one of the kit options for the camera (the other being a two-zoom 18-55mm & 50-200mm kit). Outside of the kit it's priced at an MSRP of $249, but if you buy it in a kit, you'll save $100 or more. Pentax says that the lens was also designed by Marc Newson, hence its unique appearance.

Yah, and there were supposed to be a continuation of the XS line but that flopped when the k-01 itself flopped. I really wish we had gotten more of the xs lineup, like a 21 xs.

if you want to have fun put the XS on the table next to other lenses to show the size difference

say the D FA 150-450 for example

I just received the bad news after today’s emergency air conditioner service call (third time in two years). In addition to a replacement garage door I will need a replacement 4.5 ton air conditioner. Unfortunately I think I know where I can get thee money to pay for that.

Finally received the junk...
It was advertised as 'Pentax K-10 Camera' and in the description, it was written: 'Pentax Camera with extension tubes and a lens'...
I will probably have to buy some extra on these.
Pictures in a few days...
