Agreed. Any 40mm (+/-5mm) prime that can be mounted on a Pentax camera would be a tight definition.

I mentioned the two zooms since they are the only K mount zooms I know which have one end of the zoom range at about 40mm.

I've never actively looked for one but I'm pretty sure that's a great price for it.

My Vivitar 17mm and DAL 50mm have arrived at my office (sent there to avoid the Mrs seeing the box) but my daughter is ill and our babysitters (my parents-in-law) are also ill so I'm working from home and can't get to the office to pick them up

Maybe next week.

I like the idea, it will be a motivation to use my lens more, and allow me to see what others are doing with that focal length.

I think it should really be 40mm primes only but give the 43mm a guest pass otherwise it becomes too general. I suppose you could consider the Mir1b at 38mm but that is in the Russians club. Other than the mir and the 43 I can't think of anything else 40ish so that would be

Not too much dilution there

and it will give me a reason to get my 40mm out again. I bet it looks cool on the silver KP
