Christmas was gooooood to me - with a KP under the tree.

It is a wonderful step up from my K-30 (though I still have some learning to do with it)

Very nice score, and the H3V is neat too! I found my 8 element Takumar on Goodwill's website. It showed up with the bonus of a VIvitar 135/2.8 close focus variant that was just listed as a generic 135.

I bought some bargains at KEH which were delivered today. Three Pentax lens shades, cheap, a Pentax brand M42 extension tube set (to get the short tube) for $12 and two “as is” film bodies, an ME Super and Super Program. I haven’t found a single issue with either body so far. I wish I’d snapped up the “as is” MX too.

Another Olympus Zuiko Digital ED 14-42mm 3.5-5.6 for 4/3 (not micro 4/3 but easy to adapt) - paid £16.50 including P&P just before Christmas, which is much less than I've sold them for so far, arrived today and is in good condition with the original hood.

These are the latest acquisitions I was finally able to pick up from the post office.

A Pentax-F 100-300mm f/4.5-5.6. The AF hunts a bit in the little bit I tried to use it, but being faster at the long end, it should compliment the 28-300mm lens I received the other day. Time will tell which will get more use.

A 72" Opteka monopod. Was very cheap, but as it's a monopod, I'm not that worried about my equipment getting damaged if it can't hold up as I'll still be holding my equipment. Just hoping it can help steady my shots, especially with the long zooms. Going to keep looking for a higher quality one as well as a tripod. Or at least, measure the tripod I acquired a while back that doesn't have the quick release plate so I can find a matching one.

And lastly, I also received my actual Pentax m42 to K mount adapter. While I don't have any screwmount lenses yet, and I don't know if I'll end up going down that route, I now have the capability of using any I might come across.

Other than the m42 adapter, these all actually arrived on Saturday before we left for the in-laws, but because my wife was a bit slow getting ready for a party on Saturday, we got to the post office 15 minutes after they closed the office. While I could get to my PO Box and the slips saying I had items waiting inside that I could pick up, I couldn't get them until today.

Speaking of Irix, had to put my money where my price watch post is, and just sprung for the Irix 11mm f/4.0 for $379. Now the wait....

Oooh... Nice choice. I'm tapped out for new lenses now until at least mid-year. Probably already spent more than I should (HD FA50) but there's no logic required for camera gear acquisition is there?

Thanks, and no logic, thankfully! Would take all the fun out. Wasn't a logical reason in the world to do this, so perhaps all the more reason to do so! Aaahhhhhhhh. LBA is fun!!!

I'm at beginning of a self-imposed acquisition freeze for the whole year It could be tough. Or it could be an opportunity to concentrate on taking pictures with the gear I already have.

I just paid for 2 more D-Li109 batteries for my K-70 (aftermarket) that are 2000mAh from eBay. My longest lasting battery before this was a Wassabi 1400mAh. This will bring a total of 7 batteries for my K-r & K-70. This may be overkill, yet when holidaying over a weekend, I have used up all current 5 in 2 days, therefore I bought more.

Also, in wanting to set up a beginners home studio, I purchased a set of 2x adjustable height light stands (between 78cms and 210cms) with speed-light & umbrella mounts, with adjustable distance control for distance of light to the umbrella for hard or soft lighting effects
2x 33" white translucent umbrellas, 2 more 33" black umbrellas - one with silver inner lining and one with gold lining.

I finished paying off & picked up my Sigma 35mm f1.4 (ART) lens yesterday from "Camera lane" store in Melbourne which is my favorite store for finding 2nd hand lenses.

My Cactus V6 units (2 of) and RF60 flash were delivered today.
This makes my total of flash's to 7 and radio control units to 6. I still will have a long way to go to master the usage of these.

I purchased a 3mm thick, 2100mm x 810mm piece of shiny black plastic for table top photography usage.
I also purchased a drop sheet stand a 55m roll of 1m wide tracing paper for flash effects. I couldn't help myself and bought 7 colors of cellophane sheets to go with it.
I also purchased a nice glass bowl to do some water photography.
Those were purchased today.

I ordered a genuine PENTAX AC adapter kit K-AC168J from Japan eBay (I will then upload a picture for the review section once it arrives) for my K-70.
My "starters" home studio is almost complete now, with only some soft box's to get now I think.

Good for you. I won't be purchasing either, at least until the next Pentax body is released. Currently all bets off on that one with a lot depending on price, features, and whether my photo income is showing promise. In the meantime get out and shoot
