Au contrare my friend, the caramel wafer is layers of wafer biscuit interlaced with layers of caramel, wrapped in chocolate. Admittedly it's harder to see when you dip it in batter and deep fry it....
my bad

but generally a SMU is covered by chocolate and circular

perhaps that could be an " ASMU "

alternate smu ?

ask Pepperberry

WPRESTO's favorite rule: The smallest, most valuable and irreplaceable part will find the most inaccessible place on the workshop floor, a drain if available.

my own rule

when taking something apart and then upon putting back it together again

there will be other parts sitting on the table when you are done

That's much akin to digging a hole. When you fill it back there's always some dirt left over, so you must dig another hole to bury the excess, and then........ At my age*, such activity keeps you either fit or hospitalized.

* Older than dirt but younger than galaxies.

another of " Bob's " Rules:

the holes on any drain cover will just be big enough to allow easy passage of the most valuable part

AND: If the drain cover is held down by screws, their heads will strip.

BTW: I have found on average that the older slotted heads strip less easily than a Phillips head, but the square openings of some modern screws are significantly better. I've generally also had good luck with Torx head screws, but my experience with them is more limited than with the square type.

and I have yet to receive the income I should get when " Allen " wrenches are sold

I'm thinking about contacting @dlh to see if he will represent me in a class action law suit

Could get a lot of people in that group - but not sure if it would be successful

Or perhaps "Allen" will hire a witchdoctor to cast a "hex" on them? ;-)

I like the quote in Star Trek, from Dr McCoy about Scottie : "I know engineers, they love to change things."
I'm an engineer myself and it's true

Vivitar Model 24 CdS exposure meter
NIB (?); $24.99 shipping included on eBay

Someone elses's image of one:

I have owned several of these and highly recommend this model.

Plastic foot mounts on camera via cold or hot shoe,
or use handheld with included leather case and lanyard.

Reads accurately with a single 44/76/357 size 1.5V button cell.
Though not a spot meter it does seem to read a surprisingly narrow area.

Chris

I know I am an engineer because I can spell it.

It.

See?
