WAS going to buy a used lens from LCE here in U.K. registered interest shortly after it was available yesterday afternoon, no response. Followed up this morning, an hour later received info that I’d just been “pipped to the post”.
Not the first time it’s happened. Frustrating.

The flash arrived today and checks out in like-new condition. I then fought with my Mac to allow me to open and install the latest Metz V 5.0 firmware. Fun getting through all the hoops to open a Linux code executable file on a Mac. I persevered and won the battle.
I use a heavy duty database application that only runs under Windows on my MacBook Air using Parallels. My MacBook has Catalina and Win 10 up and running at all times so that I only need to run the DB apps in Windows and use the Mac for everything else. Win 10 is a 3 finger swipe away. I can cut and paste from one to the other.

The only downside to Parallels is that it is rented for US$100 per year. It is well worth it to avoid 90% of the Wn problems. It does quite a few other OS as well, including several flavours of Unix.

Trail Ridge towing mirrors for my Nissan Frontier. Direct replacement for the factory original mirrors. They are larger and can be extended out when I hook up the RV. Now I just need a warm day to install them. No strap on mirrors to hassle with.
I remember the RV mirrors we used to insert the grips between the hood and the front fenders. They worked well, but they were a pain to install.

I think it is hard to find a less than good 50mm Macro. I prefer the K50mm f4, but not because it is any better than the A, but because of the combination of build quality and occasional random strange colour casts which I personally enjoy. The A version does make more practical sense though, smaller, lighter and A functionality. Also, the A suffers from less highlight blowout.
I forgot the K50/4 Macro - I also have a copy of this one... I also love it. OK too many lenses...

the package of timtam arrived

very tasty

but while respecting @dbs' opinion, not the appropriate shape ( imho ) for the preferred ASM

and I understand there is a " melting " issue as well

What is the bilingual packaging, Allen? I have never seen that packaging before - is this a MIA model (Made in Australia)?

... I don't know anymore. At one point I saw other's collection and stared with awe. Nowadays I see my own and am happy... But there's always one lens missing... Always.

Lots of French words on the package. I never saw that on them in Australia.

Resistance is futile! My Canon and Nikon sales $ were burning a hole in my paypal account, and ebay is way too tempting. I went from 0 Pentax a month ago to this pile of lenses (and bodies) and some more in the mail. Some DA/FA, some SMC-A, some SMC-M, non-Pentax, and 5 problem lenses to be taken apart and cleaned (to learn and practice) before I take apart the Tokina ATX-Pro 80-200 f2.8ED to clean some fungus. Yesterday's score was great: 2 mint bodies and 4 Pentax SMC-A lenses, in a custom case for $80 : Black MX, Super Program, 50 f1.4, 28 f2.8, 35-70 F4, 70-210 f4.

I suspect something amiss of the Canadian variety!

A big chunk of a lens, but extremely interesting!
That looks like a very good option for FF Pentax owners, assuming the optics are up to scratch. Out of interest, does it have the full aperture mechanism (meaning it only stops down as the image is taken and is therefore properly compatible with K-mount film cameras)?
