If anyone in the UK is after one of these, there's currently one with PK mount on Oxfam's web site for £50 plus delivery which is well below current eBay prices - The pictures aren't as clear as I would like, but they'll take returns if you don't like the condition

Haha. I keep telling myself this. And then I bought a K5 with DA* 16-50 lens (that I already have).

Fingers crossed, I just bought a Tamron 18-200 3.5-6.3 for my Nikon from Oxfam's web site - for £29.99! Assuming it's OK, I should be able to get rid of an 18-55 I never seem to use, and possibly think about selling off my Tamron 28-300 3.5-63, which really doesn't get much use at the long end, especially since I got a Vivitar 100-500 (manual focus but works well enough). The main reason not to is that it can handle full frame as well as APS-C, and I suppose there's a tiny chance I may want to go that route at some point. Though if I can ever afford something like that I could probably afford to buy something more up to date to go with it, that lens came with my D50 fourteen years ago and it was second hand then, so it really isn't the best reason in the world to keep it...
Package arrived today - unfortunately it's a completely different lens, a Tamron 80-300 for Olympus OM! Very unlike Oxfam who are pretty good about getting things right. I'll be posting it back on Monday, hoping they can find the real thing if it wasn't a huge mistake.

Very sensible response, mine might have been to look for an Olympus on ebay!

Sounds like fun. I'd like to get a less plush but more mobile truck topper camper for my Tacoma that I can still 4x4 with and get to the remote places I prefer that most trailers couldn't make it to.
I was hoping to get one last fall but some other expenses came up and that postponed it. Maybe this year.
Four Wheel Campers sells versions of that with a popup top, which look interesting. They will sell just the shell so you can customize it yourself, maybe use existing gear. Not really cheap but already insulated and weather-tight.

A 70mm Limited will fill the obvious and dramatic gap (if your profile is up to date) between your 40mm Limited and 100mm Macro. Don't stop buying until you have all the Limiteds, and the two DFA macros (50mm and 100mm)

My previously mentioned 1981 17 ft (5.2 m) 5th wheel was raised 10.5 in (26 cm) when I upgraded from a 2 wheel drive 1990 pickup to the Tundra. With its 15" wheels it gives me a good 15 in clearance under the axles which are the lowest point in the trailer chassis. The Tundra clearance is 9.25 in (23.5 cm). I have yet to ind a place I cannot get into as long as the road has at least been bulldozed.

There's another small gap between the 40mm and the 70mm. I filled it with the plastic fantastic 50mm f1.8 thanks to a recommendation from @BigMacCam and wow, it is spectacular for such a cheap lens. Add it to the list

I think you're both missing the bit where I said I must stop buying stuff.

Ok, Ok, the 70 is on my list at some point, I'm not admitting to anything else though.

I bought an LED ring light with stand and power adapter for all of twenty dollars. My daughter took a liking to it and is using it with her iPhone. I haven't used it myself yet...
