I've opened a case with eBay about this one - seller still hasn't sent it. What I don't understand is why he bought the postage if he wasn't going to send it. A bit worried that he might have had an accident or something.

In happier news I've picked up a very nice clean 50/2.8 Pentax 110 lens for £18.90 including postage, which will let me continue my project of trying as many as possible of these lenses on Micro 4/3. The other one I'd really like to try is the 70mm telephoto, but that's SERIOUS money. I won't worry too much about testing the zooms unless they come my way. I was going to take the 50mm out to the park today but it decided to rain so it's going to have to wait.

I picked up a bunch of zooms and telephoto lenses at auction. Yet another Tamron Adaptall 2 lens being added to the growing family: the 200mm F/3.5 (Model 04B).

I also got a Sigma Super-Wide II 24mm which I may also keep and then a couple of bizarre things like the Vivitar Series 1 200mm F/3.5 with built in autofocus

And a Cosina 75-200 F/4.5 that also has built in auto focus.

I got what I think is a stock Pentax 28-80 F/3.5 (silver); a Takumar A 28-80mm F/3,5 to F/4.5; an SMC Pentax M Zoom 75-150mm and another 75-150mm F/4 make unknown.

After fees and shipping it should work out at £10 a lens so not too bad if everything checks out.

A Vivitar telephoto with AF? Thats a new one, all the Vivitar prime lenses Ive seen all have been manual focus, suprised to see one with AF. The 200mm is most likely is this one: Vivitar 200mm Battery Powered Autofocus. Lens Reviews - Vivitar Lenses - Pentax Lens Review Database

Yup! I think that is the one. It'll be interesting to have a look at it in operation. Actually I just discovered the lens was made by Cosina and my particular one was made in the 51st week of 1984. It uses three AAA batteries.

I suspect the Cosina isn't a lot different.

This is certainly a learning experience for me. I missed all this stuff back in the 80's.

It took up raining yesterday afternoon. Did not get my usual afternoon walk.

Not a Pentax purchase, but I blame Pentax, specifically the really small form-factor SLR models like the Spotmatic and MX: I was in a brick-and-mortar camera store and they had an Olympus OM-1 with 50mm f1.4 in really good condition, and I couldn't resist it! Did I need a film SLR? No! But I did kind of want a 50mm lens, so there it is.

A bit worried that he might have had an accident or something.

Years ago I bought a used Olympus XA2 on eBay for $20,
the going rate when film camera prices were at their low.
Though described as working it was inoperable on arrival.

When I contacted the seller to request a return/refund
he said he had already spent the money on oxygen.

I did not pursue the matter.

No criticism from me - I have three of the tiny Olympus lenses: 28mm W, 50mm f1.8 and 135mm Auto-T 135mm f3.5. They are all small (comparable to the Pentax-M equivalents) and give me great shots adapted to my Sony A6000 or full-frame A7ii. I am tempted to buy a non-functioning OM-1 just for a display, to sit next to my ME Super with M 40mm lens.

Refunded today - no communication from the seller at all. I suspect that it sold for a lot less than he'd expected so he simply sat on it hoping that I'd request a refund - I didn't, I said I wanted the goods, but he apparently unilaterally decided to end the case by paying. I think this means he gets stuck with paying the seller fees. Looking at his feedback there's some history of what I can only describe as stupid disputes with buyers, so I may be well out of that. I think I'm going to block him buying from me, just to be on the safe side.

So it goes...
