There is a pretty rare Fujinon 55mm F1.6 (at least it is rare in m42, there are more in x-mount).

I have a copy of this lens in Fuji AX mount - currently using it via adapter on my Fuji X bodies...

Minty HD FA 35mm f2.0 for £250 arrived yesterday. Do I really need another standard lens? Probably not, but it is a step up from the DA 35mm f2.4 in every way, and offers faster focusing, better sharpness at f2.8, plus the extra stop of speed over the DA 35mm F2.8 Ltd. Is it worth the extra money new over the DA 35mm f2.4, probably not , but used at this price I reckon so.
I'd say the HD FA 35/2 is absolutely worth it over the 35/2.4

Focus rubber was turning freely. One drop of glue remedied it.
Apart from the colouring that looks exactly like my Vivitar, though that states it's a more usual f/2.8.

My latest acquisition came along quite suddenly yesterday and for an excellent price: I think an hour and a quarter passed between finding it and meeting up to buy it. Everything apart from this lens was a bonus though the K2 may work. I never thought I'd ever own one of these, especially not in mint condition. Some prliminary playing about shows it to be very sharp wide open.

Do you have a specific project in mind for this lens, or did you get it "just because"?

The vast minimum focus distance has always killed my interest in this lens.

Last night I received a Z-70 and 35-80mm kit lens that I found cheap online. The intention is for this to be my film AF travel camera as it's nice and light, has Av mode and goes to 1/2000s (which isn't too shoddy). I imagine the kit lens will be sold off cheap as it has poor reviews and my experience with Pentax's film era kit zooms has been bad.

I want to do some moon shots, birding, and maybe some astro. But after that I may sell it. It's big, it's beautiful.

I have been taking in a steady stream of small stuff intended for two projects, though this last week two bigger things came in. The first was a LumoPro LP735 43" 3-in-1 convertible flash umbrella. I intend to use it as a diffuser, but it will also reflect white or silver bounce. The other item was a Watson D-Li90 equivalent battery for my K-3. After several years in rotation, my two Wasabi finally decided to not take a full charge. Fair enough...I will give Watson a try.

Yes, the Watson does weigh the same as the Pentax original.

I recently got one of these on auction. Mine is not branded and the controls are marked with pictograms but it looks the same otherwise. It came with a cable for Nikon D3, D700, D300 etc. Cost was about ten dollars, including delivery.

The socket on the control is a 3.5mm headphone job. My Pentax cameras have 2.5mm sockets for remotes. I happen to have suitable cable that came with a JBL headset, so I tried it with a zombie *ist DL that I have. The thing takes dark pictures (sensor died?). It came with a Pentax 75-300mm that I just had to have. Just the thing to test the rig, no worries about breaking anything when it's already broken, hehehe.

The rig seems to work, sort of. Bulb exposures work great. Press button, shutter opens, watch seconds tick away on the remote display, press again, shutter closes - just what I need.

You can half press the button on the remote to autofocus, but this is fiddly. The plug on the camera doesn't quite go in all the way and sticks out about a millimeter. The AF half press only works when I push the plug all the way in on the camera. I could file down the tip of the plug, but I'm not keen on breaking my JBL headset. So I will have to get another cable, which will cost me more than the remote itself. Now that I think about it, why do I need to do AF remotely? Oh well...
