It seems you go against the usual for this forum. Most of us have more lenses than bodies. My normal is one body and a small number of lenses, assorted vintages. I'm one who doesn't fall under GAS or LBA. I tend only to replace a body when it fails, and keep whatever lenses I find useful.

K3,

Super Takumar 55/1.8 and Pentax 42mm > K Mount adapter

DA 12-24/4

DA* 16-50/2.8

DA 55-300/8 ED

FA 100/2.8 macro

M 400/5.6

AFA 1.7x
That's just for Nikon and I just remembered I've got a manual focus Sigma 75-200 f/2.8-3.5 with mild delamination also for the F mount, though I haven't used it.

Canon P 35mm rangefinder camera body with Canon 50/1.8 lens

For years I hoped to purchase a Leica M2 made in 1961, the year of my birth.
In the last year M2 prices have practically doubled, so I have ruled that out.

The Canon P body I purchased is a very late serial number 78xxx, likely made in 1961.

Chris
Very nice camera and very nice lens.
As the saying goes Canon made better Leicas than Leica.

I have not yet digitized any of my negs from that lens. That lens is wonderful.
Canon used synthetic lubes, Leica organic. Canon's lasted longer.
You will like the combined VF/RF very much. I have three 7/7s from that time frame that have never been serviced and still operate perfectly.
It is a little bit quirky that the lens index mark for ALL lenses when attached is about 1:00 for this camera, not 12:00 like just about every other nonCanon camera in the world. I like it. It is easier to read.

If anyone's interested, Oxfam's web site currently has a load of Pentax 6x7 gear for sale, five lenses, tubes and a body, also a Takumar 80mm f1.9 in M42

https://onlineshop.oxfam.org.uk/category/cameras-accessories

All a bit too pricey for me, but there may be things here people are after. They're doing free delivery on items over £45 at the moment, but I think that only applies to customers in the UK. I have no idea about their service outside the UK.

I hope you are right. I am more worried about the upholstery! I have always found the Fzik's the most comfortable saddles for me, though I have a Brooks B17 Narrow which is good too. It is just too heavy on my lightweight bikes, and it does not like rain. My first Fzik's were Pave's, which I used for many years, but I find the Ariones even better. Both are fine for casual cycling or commuting in shorts or jeans.
I took a fairly heavy tumble on mine in the wet (semi-slicks + Uber smooth ground) and it has fared well despite that.
That said, I’m definitely on the lightweight end of the scale at 66kg and just shy of 5ft 11.
Regardless, very comfortable and doing well for the first couple hundred miles.

Congratulations! Beautiful kit you have there. I regret not getting a Canon 50mm when I purchased my Canon P and while my Soviet lenses have served me well on that body, they are not the same as the real deal.

Konica C35v camera

Zone focus model of Konica C35 compact rangefinder camera.
These are excellent for travel snapshots. Cost $50 shipped.

If all is working I will order a $15 light seal kit from Jon Goodman.
If not quote from Greg Weber confirms repair is uneconomical.

Chris
Looks interesting.

I’ve seen Konica range finders in a nearby antique mall before, but the asking price is usually more than I’m willing to spend on an untested camera.

Hope you got a good one!

This weekend started out quite well, with an emphasis on Russian gear.

On Friday I picked up a Smena camera (the predecessor of the Cosmic Symbol camera, which was the inspiration for Lomography) for £4, and a Helios-44M 58mm/2 for £10, both in good condition

Saturday's car boot sale got me an Arette BN 35mm camera for £10 - a nice German camera from the late 50s or early 60s. Working well, but the case is a bit damaged. Then I went on a tour of charity shops and picked up a Zorki 4K Leica clone with Industar lens for £10. The camera is a bit battered but working, the lens is in good condition and working well, so I ought to make a decent profit.

Today I was hoping for more luck but it started raining heavily just as I was heading out. It's stopped now, just trying to decide if it's worth heading for the usual venues and trying to get some late bargains.

Uncommon size fits Canon rangefinder lenses.

Ah yes. The elusive f/1.2 ... not to be confused with the Pentax 50mm that says 1:2.0 (until the brain kicks in and quenches the excitement).

I've blown my photography budget for awhile, but this is the one lens I wished I owned for the wonderful background bouquet (also known as bokeh). My KA 50 f/1.7 is very nice, but that half stop makes a world of difference.

We had to get a new dishwasher over the weekend. $900 spent, press a button and listen to it go 'grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr'

The old was was painful, for me anyway as I'm usually the only that loads it. Half the time I load it and start it then leave for work. Get home, never ran. The top rack had cheap plastic clips & rollers that like to come off. After the last time it came off the track, fought with it and listened to my wife ask me 'did you win?' I said the hell with it and decided to replace it.

When our washing machine failed we looked on the Miele outlet site and got one with warranty and a modest scratch on the door for half price. Reasonable deal.
