actually, unless it's a different brand than Pentax, I think I've got my 85mm jones covered with the SMC A* 85/1.4
Big leagues! Man, that is the second * thrown at me today... is the world trying to tell me something?

I have three * lenses, from three different lens lines (A, FA,DA) and all three are exquisite...

I can stop looking at Takumar 85's now.. right?
I have one of those. Pretty nice and very compact. I got it pretty cheap out of the discount box at a camera store a few years back when traveling. (no camera store here). Mine has a dented filter ring I've been meaning to try to fix.

Today's acquisition is a natural gas port on the exterior of our home. I've been meaning to do this for several years, but being in Texas last winter convinced me that now is better than later. I converted our backup power generator from gasoline to natural gas. Good luck getting gasoline inside a large area power outage - probably lots nearby, but no electricity to run the pumps. Natural gas will be available for weeks and not merely hours like gasoline.
You could feed your gas grill too.

Dunno. Do you need to do a side by side comparison for posterity?

Nice hearing there's a significant improvement. Helps with the GAS.

So the K7 screens work in the KP? That plain matte one is very interesting to me.

Confirmed! K7 screen dropped right into the KP.

I kinda wish they offered a grid version that didn’t have AF markings

Olympus OM 100mm f2.8

I thought that the Pentax-A 100mm f2.8 was small, but the OM counterpart is tiny. This lens has a great reputation, so I will be giving it a run on my Sony A7ii.

You could include the Tamron 52B 90mm f2.5 if you still have it - near enough to same focal length and maximum aperture

I've been amazed by every Olympus lens I've had - amazing performance out of such tiny (really tiny) lenses...

I seem to be collecting this focal length. I have Jupiter 8 85mm, Tamron 52B and 52BB 90mm, Pentax A 100mm, now the Olympus 100mm, Sigma 105mm macro.

So does that mean side by side pictures will be forthcoming, and I don't mean of the lenses.

In fact, I have a DFA100 macro, but I never think of it in the same group as the others, for some reason. I put that one in the family of Limited lenses, on your suggestion from a while back, I think.
