They make fantastic products.

I recently picked up a Patti Tripod and I've got to say it's pretty decent for the price. I had a hatred for QR plates for many years, but they've quickly grown on me and I've got one for nearly every camera.

The ellie may be my next purchase for the KP.....

I have an ellie for my K-3 and am both impressed and puzzled by its features, but overall, impressed.

The days are getting really short now, and the light is fading fast... With only ISO 200 35mm film in my fridge (and colour, at that), I picked up a few rolls of something a little faster in B&W:

Actually, the jury's out on its real ISO rating... a number of folks seem to suggest its closer to 200 than 400, but I guess I'll find out over time. I'll shoot and develop the first roll at box speed, and go from there...

A Voigtlander Bessa folder in sorrowful state. This is the first body that I have to directly trash. The recovery of the shutter and lens, a Voigtar 105/3.5, was difficult due to lots of aluminum + bronze galvanic corrosion, stuck aperture lever and, of course, lots of haze and fungus. Oh! And I managed to add a big nice fat scratch to the back element while trying (and failing) to get it unscrewed from the shutter body .
In the end, the shutter and lens are sitting happily beside my keyboard and waiting for their very own 3D printed adapter.

It's a high contrast, grainy film, but looks super classic, I think you'll like it. I'm a big Fomapan fan now.

And now it's gloomy and rainy outside lol
But surely that's why you bought a fast and weather-sealed lens?

finally broke down and replaced my old Benro TAD28 tripod that's gone through 2 heads and pretty much beat to hell with a new Benro carbon fiber FTA28 tripod Wasn't wanting to spend as much as I did but they were on Black Friday sale and they didn't have the one I wanted, so I splurged...

Splurged $Cdn15.41 and bought some jar wrenches from Amazon. I got tired of going into the shop and bringing up my water pump pliers to get lids off jars and things.

I tried my hand at the Moler's PK Lens Lottery and ended up with the following:

Auto Kentar 35mm f/2.8
Sears Multi Coated 135mm f/2.8
Auto Sears MC 300mm f/5.6
Vivitar Auto Zoom 80-200mm f/4.5

So far the the 135mm has impressed the most but the others are due for more testing. The Kentar 35mm has some sort of pin sticking out on the mount that I need to remove to be able to mount it for testing.

No card reader on my new laptop.

Bought a new MSI laptop on Black Friday sale and forget to check if it has a sd card reader. It does not.

No worries...external sdcard readers are a dime a dozen.
I am sure you will be most pleased with your new acquisition.

New adapter

I just received a new FOTODIOX adapter, the M645 - SONY(A). This will let me use my collection of eleven medium format MF Mamiya C lenses on my three Sony A-mount cameras, the 350, 390, and Hasselblad HV (aka a99). I have always found this brand of adapters to be the best available other than the genuine Pentax adapters.

Does it have USB?

Use a USB card reader.
