I've been thinking about buying one of those for my K-5. Any good?

Seems to be, although it's only going to get its first real workout next week.

Takumar 300mm F/4, 18 blade version (so very pretty )

I got it alone with an Auto-takumar 55mm F/1.8 for $220. Im sure I paid to much, but i don't care as both are fantastic lenses and have given me great images already

Just bought one of these: Amazon.com: BENRO TRA068 Travel Angel TRA: Camera & Photo
I should receive it tomorrow. It seemed like a good deal and it will make it so much easier to bring a tripod everywhere.

I just picked up an IST DS with the kit lens from craigslist for $100 - best deal I've found in awhile!

3 Takumar hoods, an SER VII to 49mm stepping ring (for my ring flash) and an optical slave/flash to tripod adapter for $1 each.

Picked up this prime on thursday, but unfortunately it will probably be going back or on e-bay.

Apparently "New never used", which it looks that way when I opened it up. There was an unopened package of batteries that had an (expiry?) date of 1982 (yes, they had started to leak but not outside the packaging)....

I'm pleased

A bit grimy and scuffed but the glass and blades are perfect and it's fully functional.

Needs a hood, though.

Nice score, can you imagine what a 200 1.8 would have cost for the old film camera

Hood should be easy to find as long as you don't demand the original model
