BRAND: Miida Automatic

FILTER SIZE: 67 mm
WEIGHT: 3 lbs, 3 oz.
CONSTRUCTION: heavy duty precision-like construction, appears to be mostly metal.
OTHER WRITING ON LENS: No. 7813587; KR (on back cap)
COUNTRY OF MANUFACTURE: Japan
FEATURES: Built-in hood (slides in and out like the hood on the 77 limited), tripod bracket
OTHER FEATURES: switch near mount, switches from A to M, presumably standing for automatic and manual, but unclear what the switch controls.
CONDITION: like new, no scratches, no dust, Appears to have never been used.
I will appreciate any information anyone can offer on this particular lens or the Miida brand. The site seems to be acting up today, and unfortunately refuses to accept the photo I have tried to post, perhaps later.
Thank you.

Miida is a brand of Marubeni which is a general trading companies in Japan. Their lenses are re-branded from third party lens maker.
Miida (A contraction of Marubeni Iida) imported lenses into the US during the 1970s. They are from a family of lenses that can be found under the Miida, Hanimex/Hanimar, Tamron F System, Chinon and several other names that don't come to mind. The defining charactersitic is that they follow the Nikon - Pentax focus direction, rotating counter-clockwise to closeup.
You have to show the photos of a specific lens for us to guess the maker.
