Battery grip D-BG5 for my K3

I was pleasantly surprised when I found a carrier for 6 x AA cells as well as the carrier for the D-Li90 battery. Next time I forget my charger on a two week trip I won't run out of juice when the bison are mating. (2 years ago. Still aggravating).

Pick up a Pentax SF10, Sigma 28-70mm F3.5-4.5 Epsilon and three rolls of film for $25. A roll of Elite Chrome 160T, T400 CN and gold super 200 all expired around Y2K. Not a bad deal at all.

My first Pentax digital made me very battery cautious, causing me not only to buy the extra grip for each succeeding body, but a couple of spare batteries as well.

No grip for me (well, I do have, but never use it), but several spare batteries is a must for me when going camping.

A car charger is also good to have when travelling in areas where power plugs are few and far between.

Ohhh, I like that evil purchase!

Down that long, winding road; that is on my list to purchase.

Albert, that's a great addition. Where did you find the extra carriers?

Are they not standard with the BG-5?

Both types certainly came with both my BG-4 clones (and one of those is now modded to fit the K-3 - some clones can be modded but others cannot because of the diameters of the steel pins)

As above, they are standard with the D-BG5 grip. That was my pleasant surprise: two carriers, one 6xAA, one 1xD-Li90

Thanks, I wasn't sure as I haven't ordered the grip.

A Canon (yeah, I know, I know lol ) Powershot S80 for my throw-in-my-rucksack backup (running CHDK, of course) and a Canon (I know, OK ?) Powershot G5 as a potential IR conversion. I snagged the G5 for 10 GBP so I couldn't say no, although it has a slight fault with the memory card cover that will need fixing because it pops open and cuts the power lol.
